Michelle & Matthew have contacted me to capture all of their special life moments - from their engagement session to their beautiful winter wedding day , to their twin gender reveal , their maternity session and now a precious lifestyle newborn session with Emma & Elizabeth <3
I received a call from Jerry saying he wanted to propose to the women of his dreams on their short getaway to Niagara Falls. I was so excited as I love capturing true moments of love & emotion. I helped Jerry pick the perfect location, set the timing, hide out so it wouldn't look obvious that 2 photographers were following them - and we captured him get down on one knee and surprise Brittany with a proposal ! :) She quickly said YES! and we captured the excitement that followed!
Jude & Elizabeth (Team Nomad ) are celebrating their LOVE tomorrow at the Gladstone Hotel in Toronto. We couldn’t be more excited to capture this day for them…. they are two wonderfully meticulous people with a rad love story that I will spare you the ooshy gooshy details and just say that I feel so fortunate to have met these two – Congratulations Jude & Elizabeth! We will see you tomorrow! Here are a few images from our final wedding consultation and location scout!
Michelle & Matthew are such a sweet gentle couple.. at our meeting to discuss their future wedding plans we were discussing when we would do the engagement session... so we chatted about their interests and I quickly found out Matthew loved skating and hockey so we decided to do a winter skating themed session and it was an absolutely blast! (Michelle was terrified to go on skates but she did a great job!!!) -- After much thought the two decided to go with an intimate wedding March 14th and I couldn't be more excited to capture it!
...there is nothing more precious than watching new parents interact with their sweet new baby. Especially first time parents, the pure excitement and love in every movement.. the most genuine smiles and softest sweet kisses. I love everything about capturing these feelings and being able to freeze these moments -- we all know how quickly time goes and before we know it the once little peanuts are now running around and getting into trouble! As a photographer I am bias I know.. but I just think that documenting your child’s growth is so very important as I said time goes by so quickly and little ones change every single day =) Marylee & Jeremy were so sweet to welcome me into their world & allow me to photograph them falling in love with sweet baby Jemma <3 I am forever grateful to be able to document this experience -- Thank You xoxo
We shared a gorgeous afternoon just before Christmas with the Collins sisters , Lauren, Melanie & Rachel - they wanted to capture a few portraits together for their parents for Christmas as they hadn't had a photo together in many years! So we met at Morningstar Mill, Decew falls in St.Catharines and did just that! The girls had a ton of fun together and stuck out the chilly December weather to create images their parents can cherish forever! The girls ended up giving their parents the photos right before Christmas and this was the message I received from Lauren " Rachel goes back home tomorrow so we opened our gifts tonight... we got tears from both parents!! Haven't seen my dad like that in years. He said " all I've wanted for years is a nice picture of my girls". Thanks Megan!! " - Lauren Collins
Thank you so much girls your smiles & genuine love for each other was beautiful to capture!
Kelly & I go back.... to Junior Kindergarten!! I just realized that's 20 years ago....YIKES! So naturally when she contacted me to photograph her Wedding I was honored! They are getting married in August 2015 so they decided to do a fall engagement session! Chris was very nervous about getting his photo taken.. & Kelly.. well she’s a natural and turns out Chris is too.. I have never heard the word awkward so many times in one session yet..in my opinion the photos are anything but awkward! These two love to have fun & after peaking on social media I found out they love doing "selfies with duck lips" so we had to add that to our session! Their son Riley came along for the afternoon but wanted NOTHING to do with having his photo taken until we were basically leaving so we snuck in one photo with that little sweetheart!
Congratulations Kelly & Chris I can't wait to capture your Wedding. xo
When Michelle called me and asked me to photograph her and Jamie's gender reveal I was absolutely thrilled I had never done this before and to be there to witness both of them finding out the sex of their first baby was going to be incredible! We soon found out the week they would be getting the ultrasound results I was actually away in Cuba so they choose to both wait for me to get home to capture the moments. The day finally came and the excitement & anticipation on both of their faces was priceless - I captured each moment as Jamie opened the envelope, found out and then handed Michelle the appropriate colored balloons - it was all too sweet! They were both filled with so much happiness & emotion... IT"S A BOY!!!!! We then bundled up and went outside and let those emotions take us into a beautiful engagement session with their adorable puppy Mikah joining us!
Congratulations Jamie & Michelle you will both make incredible parents!
On June 14th I had the pleasure of working with Nadia of Sugar Photo Studios on this stunning wedding of Kim and Scott. The two of them were a joy to photograph ! It was a cloudy day woohoo! and the skies were just perfect for the formal photos at Decew Falls.
I am not a pink girl myself but this particular wedding the pinks were popping & I just couldn’t help myself from capturing it all! Everything about this day was fantastic from the florals, the skies and the endless love and laughter - not to mention working alongside Nadia is always fun!
Details ..details..details... ohh the details! Another beautiful wedding alongside Nadia of Sugar Photo Studios! I loved the vibe of this entire day everyone seemed so relaxed and just so. It clearly was months if not years of visions and planning to make this fairy tale come true but the day just went so smoothly and calm. You can tell by this brides eyes shes a happy confident girl and that stuck with her all day long! Sue & John thank you for allowing us to capture this absolutely wonderful day
...a quote my father shared with me when I was young that has stuck with me thus far... "the human body is a piece of art - why hang pictures on it?" Now my dad has always used that quote when referring to getting tattoos.. I personally don't have anything against tattoos nor do I have any but what stuck with me the most from his quote was .. we are all unique and we are all beautiful.. I learned to love different shapes, sizes scars, etc. and this is what this creative was based on.
I used a simple one light set up along with deciding to make the images black and white to really make the images look raw and almost abstract. This was a project I completed while attending Niagara College in Welland, ON and obtaining my Digital Photography Diploma alongside many wonderful classmates and some fantastic instructors who I still thank today =) a big THANK YOU to the wonderful human's that allowed me to capture their bodies for this project!
We are beautiful, raw and different.. LOVE yourself for everything you are and embrace YOU!
A couple years ago I photographed this small creative with the beautiful Adele, walking through the backyards & streets of Niagara Falls we were able to capture these images.
